Tina Micula, songwriter and educator created Melodyville in 2005. As an educator working with students with learning disabilities, Tina found songwriting to be an excellent way to help students tap into their creative side to help them learn and stay focused. Melodyville has collaborated with Old Dominion University, going into Tidewater Virginia public schools to co-write songs with students to inspire them to understand and remember academic information.

In 2010, Melodyville began going into domestic violence and homeless shelters writing songs of empowerment with children and families. These songs of empowerment explore potential, spark creativity and reinforce positive core values. Some titles include: “It’s All Up to Me,” I’m Gonna Make My Mark,” and “Colors in Harmony.”
